Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party

A Strawberry Shortcake birthday party is a terrific theme for your little girl! For this party theme you can either incorporate the Strawberry Shortcake character into the theme or you can include the rest of the characters: Blueberry Muffin, Apple Dumpling, Orange Blossom, and Ginger Snap.

Here are some excellent Strawberry Shortcake birthday party ideas to use for your little one's birthday:

  • Invitations: Send out your Strawberry Shortcake invitations or online strawberry themed invitations like the ones below a few weeks before the event.  Customize your favorite digital invitation then email or text it to guests instantly! For the invitation wording, write: “You are invited to a berry special day!”

  • Decorations: There are many cute Strawberry Shortcake decorations that you can use at the party. Hang up a “Happy birthday” banner with painted strawberries on it. Decorate with pink and green tablecloths, streamers, and balloons. Another idea is to make a strawberry shaped piñata! You can make this by blowing up a balloon and then covering it with paper mache. Once the paper mache has fully dried, cut a small flap in the bottom of the paper mache strawberry. Then, fill up the piñata with candy and other goodies for the kids. Then you can paint the paper mache red with black spots to look like seeds and then hang it up for the party!

  • Food: Serve foods like small finger sandwiches or pizza cut into strawberry shapes. Serve the meal with strawberry punch. For dessert, bake a delicious Strawberry Shortcake themed birthday cake! To decorate the cake, bake three different-sized round cakes (8 inch, 6 inch, and 4 inch) following the directions on the box. Then, frost all three of the cakes with vanilla icing. Place the 8-inch cake on a serving plate, and then place the 6-inch cake on top. Then stack the 4-inch cake on top of that one. Next, use green, pink, and red food coloring to dye the vanilla frosting different colors. Pipe the frosting onto each of the layers of cake to decorate it. On one layer, pipe red polka dots all around the cake. On another layer, pipe green and pink stripes all around the cake. On the third layer of the cake, decorate small red and green strawberries onto the cake. You can then top the cake with a Strawberry Shortcake cake topper.
  • Activity - Fingerpainted Strawberries: Fingerpainting is a great activity for younger kids at your Strawberry Shortcake party. For supplies you will need white card stock paper, red finger paint, and black and green markers. Have the kids dip their finger into the red finger paint and then press it onto the white paper. This will be the base of the strawberry. Once the paint has dried, the kids can draw on black strawberry seeds and a green stem for the strawberries.
